IIHS listed Top 13 American safest cars for 2013

The IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) selected 13 cars for Top Safety Pick+ honor. An Award is only for Superior Crash Protection cars. By this way of selecting, 13 cars were shortlisted finally. Totally 117 cars were given the TSP seal of approval, but 13 cars were finally selected by IIHS. Out of 13, there are only two luxury cars. Those 13 cars were listed below:

Lock/unlock Hyundai cars with your smart phones

Very Interesting!. In future, we don’t need to carry the car keys, because Hyundai is working on new technology. Why don’t we lock and unlock the car with the smart phones? Currently Hyundai working on this job. With the i30 Connectivity concept user can open the door with the smart phones using embedded NFC tag. Once opened, keep the smart phone in the center console, driver can start the car using on-board touch screen.

It has an Inductive Charging plate to take care about the phone. Once the phone in the console, it links with embedded touch screen user can import contacts, apps, streaming audio, etc… Hyundai told that this technology will be available on 2015 Hyundai vehicles. New Zealand SPCA trained the dogs to drive a car – Cute Video

Are you thinking this image/news is fake? It is real! It is SPCA Auckland, situated in New Zealand. The (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) SPCA makes the new way of car drive teaching technique to the dogs. By this technique Monty, Porter and Ginny dogs are rescued. The above images shows that the dog driving Mini Countryman car around a track.

The car was modified for dog driving. The dog uses their paws to start the car, to control steer, to stop.

BMW M’s art work video: what an idea?

I don’t know how this idea got to BMW. The pressurized ink system was fitted near the tires which continuously sprayed ink to the tires. It was controlled through one switch fitted in the cabin of the turbocharged BMW coupe. I was surprised when I saw the video. Matt, BMW performance driving school chief instructor had done this work perfectly. Matt control that ink system control and sprayed the ink over the paper, but this work is really challenging. Watch the fantastic video.

After this fantastic job, the tire print was cut up in one nice postcard which is sent out to all BMW M fans across the country. 

Volkswagen plans to recall 2012-2013 Beetle models to fix seat control problems

Volkswagen plans to recall 2471 Beetle 2012 - 2013 models to fix the front passenger seat control modules fault. NHTSA(National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) reports that, if the seat gets wet, the module may not properly find the presence of a child restraint. If it happens, the airbag will not turn off and will deploy in the time of a collision. Such a situation could significantly increase the risk of serious child injury.

But Volkswagen officially doesn’t release any schedule about recall. Car owners can expect soon. You can see the official NHTSA recall notice below for additional info.

Toyota GT86 ad has been banned in UK : video

The Toyota GT86 (Scion FR-S) ad has been blocked in UK. The statement issued on a UK has that the Toyota GT86 ad has motivating the dangerous driving. So this ad has been blocked.

The commercial called “The Real Deal”. Toyota is fully aware about British laws and regulations. Toyota told that the Britain’s Advertising Standards Authority that it did not, in fact overlook risky or irresponsible driving, and that its commercial – which features a digital man in a sort of Dystopian “video game” world- is not possible to reproduce under real-world themes.

Audi reveals Black Edition (A6 and A7) models in UK

Audi has revealed Black Edition models of the A6 and A7 in the United Kingdom. Each model will move from the industry with a set of rotor-design wheels and provides a lower sports suspension obtained from the company’s S Line kit. Designers changed out the standard grille, license plate surrounds and window trim. Black version models also offers sports seats swaddled in Valcona leather. This features will be available on A6 sedan and Avant models, as well as the A7 sportback.
